Located in the heavily traveled intersection in the Carlsbad Research Center at the northwest corner of College Blvd & Faraday Avenue in Carlsbad, The Island @ Carlsbad was acquired by Capstone Advisors in 2015. Capstone Advisors engaged McCulley Design Lab to reimage and renovate the 39,992 square foot retail center and activate previously neglected areas of the retail center, particularly in the main food court seating area. McCulley Design Lab’s scope of work included architectural design, furniture procurement, environmental graphic design and landscape consultation.
