McCulley Design Lab transformed two separate and extremely dated 1BR+2BR beachfront condos into one stunning beachfront residence featuring a spacious master bedroom suite, plus three additional bedrooms and bathrooms.
Natural textures and light finishes add to the coastal environment of the project that included a complete renovation of the kitchen, living room, and communal areas. The porcelain floor planks that run throughout the rooms create movement and are reminiscent of driftwood on a sandy beach. The horizontal wood grain of the modern cabinets establishes a sense of calm and mirrors the horizon of the ocean.
A plush area rug under the modern dining room table softens the porcelain tile, while in each room intentionally placed smooth vases remind the viewer of sea shells. This element of nature is also reflected in the gorgeous ocean-themed artwork hung on the soft white walls.
The Solana Beach design firm seized the opportunity in the master bath to create an expansive geometric tile wall that acts as a focal point behind the free-standing porcelain bathtub.
The owners of this ocean-front property enjoy daily sunsets from their balcony and breathe in the ocean breeze that flows through sliding glass doors into the open-concept dining room and kitchen.
